Presented to William Dallas Fyfe Brown (or Bill as he was also known) by the Scottish FA, this mounted plaque commemorates the 1961/62 Scotland side winning the British International Championship.
Brown started his career with Dundee, before moving on to Tottenham Hotspur in 1959. He was their goalkeeper in the famous 1961 double season, when they became the first club in the 20th century to win the League Championship and FA Cup in a single season. His transfer fee of £175000 was a world record at the time. He then moved on to Northampton Town, before ending his career playing in Toronto, Canada.
In the 1961/62 championship Brown conceded just a single goal in Scotland’s three wins against the other home nations. Wales came second, with England in third and Ireland fourth.
