This card was issued by the Football Association ahead of the 1924 amateur international meeting between England and South Africa at White Hart Lane in November.
Inside it details the players selected to play for England along with their team, and the rear of booklet details the schedule and arrangements for accommodation.
The team stayed overnight in the Euston Hotel in London and those selected included B. Howard Baker of Chelsea in goal and captain A.G. Bowyer of Corinthians who also features on this recently added George Chilman artwork.
In front of a crowd just short of 5,000 the England amateurs scored either side of half time whilst South Africa also netted twice. Frederick Ewer scored a last minute winner for England to make it 3 – 2 on the day.
