TV style badges from the 1970s featuring “Hot Shot” Peter Lorimer and “Sniffer” Allan Clarke.
Clarke earned the nickname Sniffer during his early career at Leeds thanks to his predatory instincts in front of goal.
Peter Lorimer, often known as Hot Shot, Thunderboots and Lash was so called because of his incredibly hard shot. He regularly rifled shots in on goal at 90mph, with one penalty registering at 107mph. He is generally regarded as having one of the hardest shots of all time.
