This 1971 commemorative cover has been hand signed by Sir Alf Ramsay, who managed England to World Cup glory at Wembley in 1966.
The cover was issued after England beat Switzerland 3 – 2 in the European Nations Cup on 13th October 1971.
Geoff Hurst scored in the opening minute at St Jakob Park in Basel before Daniel Jeandupeux pulled one back for the hosts. Martin Chivers then made it 2 -1 in the 12th, before Fritz Kunzli made it 2 – 2 just before half time.
An own goal from Anton Weibel in the final stages of the game handed the win to England.
