In 2001, while playing for Cerezo Osaka, Yasuo Manaka set the record for the fastest JLeague hat-trick as he scored in the 72nd, 73rd and 75th minutes.
Manaka finished his playing career in 2004 with Yokohama FC, and made a brief return to the game as manager of the Konomiya Speranza Osaka-Takatsuk women’s team in 2017, although he would resign later that same year.
