A set of Keith Parkinson’s matchworn Leeds United sock tags from their February 4th 1978 clash with Ipswich Town.
Parkinson was a centre forward from Preston who turned centre half when he went professional with Leeds in 1973 due to his stature. He made real progress in the youth team, but never really got his chance to shine in the main squad and left the club in 1982 for Hull City. He even broke his cheekbone on his first team debut for Leeds against Middlesbrough, and went on to make just 38 appearances for the club.
