This headed notepaper from The Queen’s Hotel in Manchester has been signed by the 1954/55 Chelsea side who won the league that year, ahead of their final game of the season.
Chelsea lost 2 – 1 at Old Trafford on 30th April 1955, but still finished 4 points ahead of Wolves in second place.
Included is the signature Roy Bentley, the Chelsea goalscorer in Manchester – who is now the only surviving member of England’s 1950 World Cup squad, following the death of Sir Tom Finney in 2014.
