A handwritten letter dating back to 22nd June 1909, sent by Nottingham Forest Club Secretary and former player Frederick W Earp.
The letter notifies the league of Earp taking over as manager in 1909, following the death of his predecessor Harry Haslam.
Earp remained in charge of Forest until the end of the 1911/12 season.
The team lost 59 of the 120 games they played under him in that time – recording only 35 wins.
Haslam was the first Nottingham manager to achieve a win rate of more than 40% in the league – and is one of only 8 to do so in their history to date, out of a total of 39 – excluding caretakers.
