In 1972 Celtic were celebrating their 7th consecutive Scottish League title, a run which would eventually see them add a further two titles in ’73 and ’74.
This ’7′ menu from a celebration at Glasgow’s North British Hotel held on 11th December 1972 has been signed by legendary manager Jock Stein who was at the helm from 1965 to 1978.
The North British Hotel was in Glasgow’s George Square, and was sold in the 1980s by British Rail when it became The Copthorne.
Celtic are currently putting together another impressive run of back-to-back titles, but they’d need to get to 16 to break the current world record held by Tafea FC of Vanuatu.
