This first day cover was produced to celebrate Celtic’s European Cup clash against Dynamo Kiev in September 1967.
Desperately out of form, Celtic’s Lisbon Lions went 2 – 0 down, Gemmell lucky to stay on the field after he struck out following a poor tackle, and Lennox eventually giving them hope with a goal of their own on 61 minutes.
The cover has been signed by the Dynamo squad, match officials and commentator of World Cup ’66 final fame Kenneth Wolstenholme.
This was Celtic’s first defeat at Celtic Park in European competition.
