This matchworn Manchester United shirt has just come in to the collection, via a private seller.
It was purchased a number of years ago at a sportsman evening auction by a member of the family.
At the time it was common for player shirts to be squad signed and given to charities, raffles or auctions for example – and this shirt still bears some faint biro signatures on the front.
According to our shirt curator, it comes from either the 1986/87 season, or 1987/88.
