After leaving Arsenal in 1908 following eight successful seasons to help reduce financial pressure on the club, their record breaking keeper Jimmy Ashcroft joined Blackburn Rovers where he made a total of 120 appearances.
He was part of their side when the club won the 1911/12 First Division title, and remained at Ewood Park until 1913 when he was released on a free transfer, eventually being picked up by Tranmere after taking out his own advert in search of a club.
This medal was awarded to Jimmy when Blackburn won the Lancashire Senior Cup in 1910/11.
