Voted one of the greatest 50 football teams of all-time, Don Revie’s Leeds United finished 5-points clear of Liverpool in Division One by the end of a grueling 42 game season.
At the end of the season, Revie would leave Leeds to take over from Alf Ramsey as the England Manager, with Brian Clough coming to Elland Road for a (very) brief spell.
This was Revie and Leeds United’s second Division One title, the first coming in the 1968/69 season.
