This is a signed menu from a celebratory promotion dinner held for the players and staff of Leicester City Football Club on 8th May 1925 to celebrate their promotion to the First Division. The event was held at the Leicester Assembly Rooms.
It is signed on the back by 16 players including the captain Johnny Duncan, who played as an inside forward or wing half. There are also two drawings of a man in a flat cap which are signed at the base, as shown on the 2nd picture in the gallery below.
That year saw Leicester top the Second Division table, two points above Manchester United and four points above Derby County in third. Coventry and Crystal Palace were relegated.
