This programme dates back to the 17th March 1937 meeting between Wales and Ireland at Wrexham Racecourse on St Patrick’s Day.
1937 was an excellent year for Wales in the British Home Championship, as they beat both England and Scotland in their first two games. With the two tournament favourites both quashed, Wales just needed a draw against Ireland to win the title.
However, thanks to goals from Bryn Jones, Freddie Warren and Pat Glover (2) they finished in style with a 4 – 1 victory to take an emphatic tournament win.
