This is a small collection of Aston Villa cabinet cards from the early 1900s.
Cabinet cards were widely used after 1870, and were a style often used for portraiture. They consisted of a thin photograph, mounted on to a piece of card.
Thanks to Jon Farrell, we’ve now been able to identify the 4th player, Christopher Mann, who played for Villa from 1899 to 1901, before moving to Burton.
