This celebration dinner menu was signed by the whole Bolton Wanderers squad, and dignitaries, following the 1923 FA Cup final.
This was the first game to be played on the hallowed turf of Old Wembley.
David Jack and Jack Smith scored either side of half time for Bolton in a 2 – 0 win over West Ham United which saw around 300,000 fans gain entry to the stadium despite its quoted capacity of 125,000. The start of the game was delayed by 45 minutes as horse mounted policemen cleared people from the edges of the pitch as the stands overflowed.
