On 2nd December 1936, England beat Hungary 6 – 2 in a memorable match at Highbury.
Eric Brook, Cliff Britton and Raich Carter all scored for England, and Ted Drake netted a superb hat trick in front of 36,000 fans.
Following the game, a dinner was held for the Hungarian Football Association at London’s Victoria Hotel. The menu shown below, has been signed by England to the rear, and Hungary on the inside.
