This is the 1932/3 season Division One Champions medal awarded to Ernest ‘Tim’ Coleman of Arsenal, in a season which saw him take the spot as leading goalscorer with 24 goals in just 27 games for the club.
Arsenal topped the league 4 points clear of second placed Aston Villa, with Blackpool and Bolton Wanderers getting relegated.
Coleman signed for Arsenal from Grimsby, and in his first full season seemingly scored plenty of goals for the club just as he had done for the Lincolnshire side. However his form dipped the following year with just one goal in 12 appearances, and when Arsenal signed Ted Drake that spelled the end of his time in London. He was then picked up by Middlesbrough and finally finished his career with Norwich. After the war he became the manager of Linby Colliery and the Notts County.
