This is a very rare post-war Newport County AFC programme from their 1945/46 season in the Football League South.
This programme comes from the fourth game of the season against Chelsea, which Newport lost 3 – 1 at home.
Their first league win, one of only nine all season over the course of 42 games, came just 5 days later against Charlton.
Next year would see a return to the full Football League programme as before the war for the 44 top teams, as opposed to the regional leagues.
