Here we have a nice pair of Tottenham Hotspur season ticket tokens – with the 1950/51 token in black on the left, and the 1951/52 season ticket on the right in red.
Both tickets belonged to a H.H. Wright Esquire – the earlier one cost £5.50 at the time, and just one season later prices were increased almost 50% to £7.70.
Spurs won the First Division title in 1950/51 and came runner up to Manchester United the following year.
