A very rare Baines Gold Medal football card featuring Manchester City’s James Hosie.
Hosie made 42 appearances for City between 1901 and 1902, scoring only three goals during that time.
John Baines of Bradford invented the football card in 1885, and more than 20 million were produced before the company ceased trading in the 1920s.
Prizes were up for grabs as you collected the cards, so many young people would buy them with their spare pocket money looking for a lucky 10,000th card.
