Milarvie, a Scottish born footballer, played for Ardwick from 1891 as a forward.
The club changed their name to Manchester City in the 1894/95, and he left the club during the 1895/96 season.
Milarvie signed for both Port Vale and Derby County in 1889, with Port Vale being penalised for fielding him during a game as the transfer saga continued, and Derby eventually winning the fight for the player.
