This is an official programme from the early post war football era, from the 1st May 1948 match between Birmingham City and Tottenham Hotspur.
The game finished in a 0 – 0 draw, and the programme is signed by the complete Tottenham team (see second image).
This was the last game of the season, and it saw Spurs finish 8th in Division Two. That same year saw Birmingham City finish top of the table, as they were promoted to Division One. They kept 24 clean sheets that season, and finished with more points (59) than goals (55).
