This exceptionally rare item is a matchbook cover sample produced by Bryant & May, probably in 1966 or 1967 based on the dates shown on the cover itself.
We can’t find any evidence to suggest that this sample ever made it into production.
Bryant and May left a lasting legacy in Liverpool, which residents will now know as the Matchworks and Matchbox.
