This is a very rare, Edwardian era programme produced for the Boxing Day match between Chester and Wirral based rivals Tranmere Rovers in The Combination league.
Although many of the businesses advertising above have long since ceased trading, the Bull and Stirrup is currently still open just outside the city’s North Gate.
We haven’t found any further details on the game, and would love to hear from anyone who could provide further information!
