After a successful three seasons with Aston Villa, David Platt made the switch to Serie A where he joined Puglian based side, A.S. Bari for £5.5 million in 1991.
Despite scoring 11 goals in his 29 appearances, Platt and Bari were relegated at the end of the season, at which point he was picked up by Juventus in 1992, and eventually Sampadoria in 1993 where he would spend a further two seasons.
These shirts, both worn by Platt during his time on the Adriatic Coast, both come to us via a well respected Aston Villa collector.
