This is a rare Doncaster Rovers programme, featuring the long since defunct New Brighton FC, who were based on the Wirral.
When Doncaster were elected to the football league in 1901, they actually replaced the dissolved New Brighton Tower, the predecessors to New Brighton FC.
Tower had an 80,000 seater stadium, but with attendances averaging around 1,000 per game, they didn’t last very long – playing between 1896 and 1901.
