This menu comes from the European Champion Clubs Cup final dinner in 1968, and has been signed by a number of the victorious Manchester United squad following their 4 – 1 win over Benfica.
United’s victory was made more poignant as it came ten years after the Munich Air Disaster, which occurred the day after the club had secured a semi-final place in the same tournament in 1957-58.
Bobby Charlton opened the scoring in the second half of the game, before United were pegged back by Jaime Graca.
United would go on to score three goals in the first half of extra time – Best opening the floodgates in the 92nd minute, before Kidd and Charlton added to the scoreline at Wembley.
This would be the first time that an English side had won the trophy.
Unfortunately the signatures of Crerand, Stepney and Charlton aren’t present.
