This trophy is believed to have come from the estate of an ex-Director of Liverpool Football Club.
As can be seen from the engraving, it comes from the 1978 European Cup final held at Wembley.
Liverpool, without a number of key players including Tommy Smith who had dropped a pick-axe on his foot, beat Club Brugge 1 – 0 thanks to a 64th minute goal from club legend Kenny Dalglish courtesy of a pass from Graeme Souness.
The win saw them become the first British side to win back to back titles in the competition.
Despite being relatively small in size at around 14cm tall, the trophy is still very impressive with it’s intricate bird of prey design
