This programme comes from the 6th May 1939 meeting between Everton and Hereford United.
It has sustained damage to the rear, hence the front facing photo only.
The game was a celebration match which took place following Everton’s 1st Division Championship win. We have been unable to find the result, so if you have any further information, we’d love to know!
Only a year or so after the game, the programme’s original owner was fighting in France. How quickly things can change…
