One of the greatest, if not the greatest, FA Cup finals of all time – the 1953 Matthews’ Final.
It was third time lucky for Stanley Matthews, who inspired his Blackpool teammates to come back from 3 – 1` down against a formidable Bolton side at Wembley, to take a memorable 4 – 3 victory thanks to an injury time winner from Bill Perry. Teammate Stan Mortensen also became the only player in history to score an FA Cup final hat-trick at the original Wembley Stadium.
