Former Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville helped to break the deadlock when England met Scotland in the Euro 96 group stages, as he supplied the cross for Alan Shearer to nod home the opener at Wembley.
The game was also famous for Paul Gascoigne’s emphatic second half goal who lobbed Colin Hendry to then volley the ball past his Rangers team-mate Andy Goram in the Scottish goal.
This shirt was worn by Neville during the tournament, and the former owner who acquired it via a family member who worked at Wembley had kept it in a frame for many years.
Unfortunately this involved the use of some velcro, which we’ll look to have removed without damaging the shirt moving forwards.
