This is an original Harold Gittins cartoon featuring Sir Stanley Matthews.
There is a stamp on the rear which is dated 1st January 1957, the year in which Matthews received his CBE.
Gittins was a Lancashire born cartoonist who worked for the London Evening News, and he passed away in Willesden in 1959.
