This is the 199th FA Cup final winners medal to be added to The National Football Collection, and it was awarded to Wolverhampton Wanderers’ outside-right Johnny Hancocks in the 1949 final.
Wolves would beat Leicester City 3 – 1 at Wembley that season to claim the cup.
Hancocks was a prolific goalscorer, and at the time of writing he is 4th in the Wolves all-time record goalscorer list with 168.
