An official programme from the 1956 match between the Leeds & District FA and Uganda FA at Elland Road.
This was only the second time that the District FA had played a representative game at Elland Road, after Leeds United postponed their match to allow the game to go ahead.
It was also the first time that a team played a competitive match at the ground barefoot – during the Uganda tour, players only wore boots in wet conditions.
Despite being thumped 10 -1 by Wycombe at the start of their UK trip, Uganda fought hard to take a 2 – 1 win in Yorkshire – one of four wins on their eleven match tour.
