This is the No.9 shirt worn by Mark Stein when he scored the 65th minute winner for Stoke City against Stockport County in the 1992 Autoglass Trophy Final at Wembley.
Both sides had played one another just three days earlier in the playoffs, with Stockport winning that game.
They started the final as the better team, and even had a goal disallowed after just six minutes – but Stoke held firm and capitalised as the Tamesiders began to tire for their first Football League Cup title.
Stein, originally from South Africa, also played for Chelsea, Luton Town, Oxford Town, Ipswich Town and Bournemouth – he retired in 2004 playing for Waltham Forest.
