This is a matchworn number 10 home shirt from Ipswich Town’s 1985/6 season in the First Division.
After several successful seasons during the 13 year tenure of Bobby Robson, Ipswich went into decline under former chief coach Bobby Ferguson who took over in 1982. Although they had some cup success, their strong finishes in the league became a thing of the past, and at the end of the 1985/86 season the club were relegated finishing in 20th position in the table, one point below Leicester City and Oxford United.
