This is an official programme from the FA Cup 4th round 2nd replay between Newcastle United and Southport FC on 1st February 1932.
The first leg at St James Park ended in a 1 – 1 stalemate with Jimmy Boyd scoring for the Toon Army, and another 1 – 1 draw followed soon after with Boyd scoring again.
The 2nd replay was held at Hillsborough, and was a much more one sided affair as Newcastle won 9 – 0.
Boyd, Richardson (3), Cape (2), McMenemy, Lang and Weaver all scored for Newcastle who would go on to lift the cup that season.
Preston however still hold the biggest FA Cup win record, beating Hyde FC 26 – 0 in the first round.
