Here we have a rare picture postcard featuring a game between Sunderland and Newcastle at St James Park, drawn in great detail.
Unfortunately there is no date on the postcard itself – but it does carry the mark of Alexander Denholm Brash of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Brash had a bookshop and stationers at Heaton Road in the city, which operated between 1905 and 1910.
Many Brash picture postcards can be found showing scenes of the North East.
