This fantastic little booklet gives a complete account of Preston North End FC’s results from 1883/84 up until the end of the 1889/90 season.
It was printed by T Snape & Co, who were founded in 1858 and still trade from the town to this day, still based just off Church Street.
The ‘North End’ name dates back to 1863 when the club, originally founded as a cricket club, moved from the marsh by the River Ribber to Moor Park at the northern end of the town. In 1875 they leased the field opposite Moor Park, which is where the Deepdale ground is still located to this day.
