A “Pride o’ the Midlands” bread wrapper issued in 1959 to celebrate to performance of Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup final.
That year they played Luton Town in the final and won 2 – 1 on the day. The East Midlands side proved to be too strong for Luton in the early stages with goals from Roy Dwight and Tommy Wilson before 15 minutes had passed.
Luton managed to pull a goal back in the 66th minute, and kneading a goal to take it to extra time Allan Brown headed just wide in the final minutes with several of the Nottingham players looking a little stale on the pitch suffering from severe cramp.
