Born in 1901, Queen’s Park stalwart Robert ‘Bob’ Gillespie was capped 4 times as a full international for Scotland, and 11 times as an amateur.
This medal was given to the player for his appearance in the British Home Championship match against Wales on 30th October 1926.
A goal from Hughie Gallacher, and an Alec Jackson brace saw Scotland run out 3 – 0 winners at Ibrox.
