This letter sent on the official Notts County club letterhead has been written and signed by former Secretary T.E. Harris in April 1902.
That season the Nottingham club finished 13th in the top flight, just two points and a superior goal difference above the relegation zone occupied by Small Heath (Birmingham) and Manchester City.
Tom Harris was Secretary Manager for 20 years, from 1893 to 1913 guiding them to the FA Cup title in 1894.
