A player schedule from the little documented TE Harris Testimonial Fund match-up which pitted a Football League XI against the Nottingham XI on 10th December 1913 at the Notts County Ground.
The Football League XI consisted of:
- S. Hardy – Aston Villa
- R. Crompton – Blackburn Rovers
- J. Pennington – West Bromwich Albion
- V. Harris – Everton
- J. McCall – Preston North End
- J. Campbell – Sheffield Wednesday
- W. Meredith – Manchester City
- S. Fazackerley – Sheffield United
- J. Moore – Derby County
- E. Hodgson – Burnley
- E.T. Vizard – Bolton Wanderers
Players were based at the old Welbeck Hotel on Milton Street.
On the inside, a cross has been placed next to Hardy’s name, and the information on trains from Birmingham, so it may be that this was the schedule sent to Aston Villa.
