This is a very rare dinner menu from an event held to celebrate West Bromwich Albion winning the 1933/4 Central League Championship Cup for the fifth time in their history.
The team and other attendees were treated to a slap up six course lunch at the Queens Hotel in Birmingham before a coach tour down to Evesham, returning to Birmingham in the evening for dinner – another six courses!
Primarily for reserve teams, the league was founded in 1911 and is now known as the Final Third Development League. Teams do not win promotion to the Premier Reserve League based on their own performance, but the fortunes of their senior team – so if your senior side are promoted to the Premier League, you get bumped up a league too!
