On 7th October 1959, Wolves faced off against ASK Vorwarts of Berlin in the second preliminary round of the European Cup at Molineux.
After losing the away leg 2 – 1, Wolves won the home game 2 – 0 under the watchful eye of manager Stan Cullis to take a memorable victory on aggregate. Mason and Broadbent scored for Wolves.
After beating Red Star Belgrade, they went out 9 – 2 on aggregate to Barcelona in the quarter finals.
The menu has been signed by the German side, and future FIFA President Sir Stanley Ford Rous who took office in 1961.
