This gold medal was given to former England and Arsenal goalkeeper Jimmy Ashcroft, who was capped three times for the national side in the British Championships in 1906.
Ashcroft was Arsenal’s first ever England international, and still holds the club record for keeping six back-to-back clean sheets.
