This is the 1930 Irish Cup Winners Medal awarded to Linfield player Joe Bambrick.
Born in 1905 Joe played for Chelsea and Walsall in England, before moving back to Ireland to play for Glentoran and eventually Linfield.
In the 1930 Irish Cup final Bambrick scored all four Linfield goals which saw them win the final 4 – 3 against Ballymena.
A prolific goal scorer, he also netted 12 times in 11 games for Ireland in international matches which includes a six goal haul against Wales in a single game in 1930 at Celtic Park, and at the time of writing this remains the highest number of goals scored by a British Isles player in a single international game.
