From Tottenham Hotspurs very first season in the English First Division, this programme is from the clubs 5th March 1910 meeting with Preston North End.
Late on in the season Tottenham were languishing in 18th in the table as indicated by the cartoon on the front of the publication.
In desperate need of a win Spurs were able to rely on Percy Humphreys and Walter Minter in front of the 25,000 strong home crowd to take them to a 2 – 1 win and by the end of the season they had climbed to 15th finishing three points above the drop zone which saw Chelsea and Bolton Wanderers go down that season.
